About the Trainer

Born and raised in Port Huron, Nate played college baseball at Wayne State University and Owens CC.

Some of his athletic accolades include NCJAA All Region XII First Team Shortstop, GLIAC All-Tournament 1st Team (2015) after batting .375 with a .444 OBP and .1000 Fld.Pct, GLIAC Stolen Base Leader (2015), OCCAC Stolen Base Leader (2012). Manis also solidified himself as lead off hitter for the Warriors while batting .301 as a Senior. He was also named All-star for the Park City Rangers in the Walter Johnson collegiate summer league (Wichita, KS).

During his time at Wayne State, Manis played 6 different defensive positions, giving him a unique ability to instruct each position in advanced detail.

Manis became Varsity Head Coach at Port Huron Northern HS from 2019-2022, and coached a total of 7 years for Northern.

Nate has coached many camps with various programs in 2 countries and 10 different states.

His coaching strengths are hitting, infield/outfield, base running, and speed/agility.
